The Importance of Ethics in Adoption

At Choosing Hope Adoptions, we are leading the state of Ohio in ethical adoption. This is something we are very proud of and work every day to maintain our high standards for serving and caring for the people we come in contact with.

Now, we all know that ethics are important, but what does it mean to be an ethical adoption agency around Cincinnati, Ohio?

We are a Nonprofit Organization

Because adoption is NEVER a transaction, our agency does not make a profit on any of the adoptions we facilitate. While we do have a few fees involved in the process, these fees are fair and reasonable and clearly communicated and explained.

Our Team is Qualified

Every member of our team goes through extensive training and has any necessary certifications in the area of adoption or social work. There is no situation that our team would not be willing to help guide you in or help you find resources in. This could include counseling, medical needs for you or your child, cultural training, dealing with loss, rejection, grief, identity, or special needs and much more.

Giving You the Power to Choose

Our agency firmly believes that as the expectant parent, all the power is in your hands. At the end of the day, you have the final say in whether or not you want your child to be adopted.

You will never feel coerced or pressured. You will never be bribed or experience any other unethical practices when it comes to making the choice to parent or to create an adoption plan. We are here to support you whether you choose adoption or not.

Birth Mother Support

It is the obligation of an adoption agency to continue to serve the birth parents of children adopted through their agency.

At Choosing Hope, we care about your well being as the birth parent just as much as we care about the well being of your child. This means even after an adoption is complete we offer counseling and peer groups to continue care and support for you as a birth mom.

All Rights are Respected

As an agency, we respect the legal and moral rights of all parties involved in adoption. This includes the rights of you as the birth mom, the rights of your child, and the rights of the adoptive parents. Agencies should also proactively identify and inform non-custodial parents of any pending adoption.

We Do Not Discriminate

An adoption agency should make every effort to find an adoptive family for a child no matter their age, race, health history or diagnosis.

At choosing hope adoption we hold our highest standards and work tirelessly to find an adoptive family for every single child whose parents uses our agency. We will never lower our standards or deny services for any child!

We hope you understand how important being an ethical adoption agency is to us. We also hope you understand how important it is for you, as an expectant mother, to seek an ethical adoption agency when considering adoption.

If you have any questions about our agency or practices please feel free to use our 24/7 call or text line, we would love to chat with you.
